Turntable Bay

Lake Shasta is an amazing place all on it’s own. I haven’t really gotten the opportunity to explore the lake itself too much but I plan to some day. But just about every time I drive by I have to stop at Turntable Bay.

Turntable Bay is really just a small portion of Lake Shasta that happens to be easily accessible from the road. I always stop here because it’s just a nice, beautiful, peaceful spot to reflect and look out over the water for a few minutes before I start the long drive again.

The only problem I have with it is it *is* easily accessible from the road. So often times you’ll find people camping there. Or, worse, dumping their trash there. Which, come on, there are better places to do that. So if I see any I always try to carry some off with me.
