Took us hours to find this place, really it did. However, just to see this place and have a couple of drinks was worth it. I mean come on, how hard could it be the town isn’t that big? However we managed to walk past it, at least a dozen times. Good thing we weren’t that hungry because the food was not great. But the ambiance was magnificent!!! Over the top superb! The restaurant itself had no electric lights, only candles. There were two places where extraordinary bottles held brightly colored liquids, all back lit, all placed on fireplace mantles. but that was it, no other lights only candles. Graffiti on the wall was exquisite, truly compelling.
When I got back to my hotel room, I texted my best friend Mooneen (who travels a lot and is very knowledgeable about places.) Couldn’t wait to tell her about my secret finding. Her response was enthusiastic, Oh honey so glad you went there Bill (her husband) and I go there all the time when we’re in the area. WHAT, REALLY?
Just goes to show you never know what you don’t know!
