A Walk in the Woods

James came down from Portland and stayed with us for several days. We did a lot of great cooking (remember James is a professional Chef) eating, and hiking.  One morning we walked the Oredson Todd Woods Trail, which is located just south of Ashland up in the hills. We added parts of White Rabbit, March Hare, and Pacific Coast Trail to add some miles.

It was a cool and pleasant walk/hike. Got pretty vertical toward the top and made us earn the summit. Everyone’s thighs were complaining, so this is never a joyous part of the hike, but damn you feel a sense of accomplishment when it’s done.

Always take photos, remember to have a glass of beer or wine when you get home. Take some anti-inflammations tablets, a good dose of BenGay. You’ll be “good as gold” and you’ll be ready to do it all again the next day.

For those of you who have not seen photo’s of James, yes, that’s the back side of him and his hair is that long. Just wait for a picture of this face, beautiful face completely covered with massive amounts of ginger hair. I’ll get a picture of him soon in his favorite clothes: heavy metal tee shirt, hiking kilt, big socks and big boots. Aye, the lassies love him!!!
