The Twisted Cork – Grants Pass OR

On a recommendation from new friends Philip and Nancy, we took the short and beautiful drive up to Grants Pass to have lunch at the Twisted Cork. The establishment can be described as a high-end wine bistro, with a large selection of local wines, along with lighter fare such as salads, sandwiches, pasta, etc. The decor is sophisticated and clean with dark wood cabinetry, marble counters, cool lighting, and an impressive wall-sized rack of bottles.

We started out with a nicely chilled bottle of Del Rio Viognier, a local vineyard situated between Medford and Grants Pass. I ordered the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich with a cup of their soup of the day, which was a butternut squash bisque. Laura ordered their open-face chicken sandwich.

Both our meals were wonderful and I have to say this was one of the best dining experiences we have had since moving to the Rogue Valley. We were served by our pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly waitress Erin. All in all it was an extremely pleasant meal and we will definitely be back.
