If you have been following our blog, you should know we have made a move from Santa Barbara to Medford Oregon. You also might know that it took over two weeks for our belongings to arrive. Well now they have and we have been super busy unpacking and getting re-organized. This is still very much a work in progress, but it has taken a toll on our time and our blogging has suffered as a result. We hope we can get back to it soon.
Just some random thoughts as we go through this process. When you move from a 4000 square foot home into a 2300 square foot home it’s a bit of a challenge. We have managed to get all our cooking gear in the kitchen, but one of the reasons we purchased this house was it had a very adequate kitchen with lots of storage.
Where I am challenged is in the garage. I now realize I have way too many tools. I just kept accumulating them and in our previous garage, I had sufficient cabinets to store (read hide) them in. Now I am faced with trying to organize everything with much less space and I am going to make some hard choices about what to keep and what to get rid of.
Also, what do you do with all the moving boxes and packing paper? We have put an ad on Craigslist and we are getting some inquiries, but most of the boxes are stuffed with packing paper and they are going to be hard for people to transport without being broken down. I have received a few inquires but right now it is so hot here, I think no one wants to do anything. Thank goodness we have A/C.
