There’s no shortage of great hikes in the Portland area. Most of them are great so I’ve taken to exploring a bunch in an effort to enjoy the Summer and help get back in shape.
I often find myself on the Lewis & Clark campus since my friend Diana works there. Every time I drive by there’s a sign pointing out some park called Tryon Creek. It’s really close so I had to try it out.
Turns out it’s a really great series of loops and trails. I asked the nice people at the front desk for some recommendations. They pointed out a great four mile loop to me and I’ve used it every time since. The trails are a little crowded since it’s so nice, but that’s a small problem. It’s overall flat with a few inclines and slopes to keep things interesting.
