There’s nothing more iconic than Friday night Fish Fries Wisconsin. You’ll find a fish fry everywhere-even at the chain fast-food drive-throughs. (Although when I’m in WI, I’m in Northern WI and the nearest fast-food place is 116 miles round trip.) Dozens of neighborhood taverns and bars still line up the plank seating and picnic tables with plastic coverings on Friday nights. The tables are arrayed with tartar sauce, pickles, rye bread, plenty of coleslaw. Most Fish Fries come in around $10/12 for all you can eat. Your ace in the hole is, if the bars and taverns are to full, you’ll always find a great fish fry at the nearest Catholic church.
